The ISA has recently introduced a new pathway to level 1 qualification which requires all new instructors to take the E- Learning Introduction to Surf Instructing course . This has an additional fee of $50 US if you book your level 1 course with SCA 1st. Or $100 US if you book independently without booking the level 1 course with us.
This E course takes approx. 6-8 hours to complete , it is modular and can be completed in your own time, however you need to schedule it in to your time table pre level 1 course.
ISA COURSES — International Surfing Association link
The ISA Introduction to Surf Instructing E-Learning Course is now live on the ISA Source and available to complete at any time. As previously announced, the ISA Surf Level 1 Certification Pathway now requires all instructors to complete the course as a prerequisite to participating in the Surf Level 1 course.
This requirement goes into effect 15 September 2024 for all new instructors.
New Surf Level 1 Instructor Pathway:
- Complete ISA Introduction to Surf Instructing E-Learning Course;
- Receive Certificate of Completion for the E-Learning Course;
- Participate in ISA Surf Level 1 Course;
- Complete Follow-Up Requirements;
- Receive ISA Surf Level 1 Certificate.
The E-Learning Course is available online to the public for $100 USD, but anyone who registers for your course will receive a voucher code to access the course for $50 USD (50% discount).
